How Muslim should deal with the FITNAH of islamophobia

assalaaykumwarathmatullahbaraktuhu

Soo, you want us to cause a fuss and give it more attention? Worked well with the book Satanic Verses didn’t it?

The worst thing we can do is ignore it and pretend it’s an insult to our intelligence to even consider it a threat to Islam [and Allah (swt) will take care of His perfect religion]. Our jihad in these times are different… swords don’t do it these days [or guns for that manner]–unless we’re being physically attacked first. Such was the way of the Prophet (s) even in battle to let the enemy take the first strike.

I not saying this from a docel nature or from some ‘womanly’ gentle nature either. I am saying this from a fit of rage ready to kick @$$… but you know what?

“How shall one take vengeance on an enemy? By increasing one’s own good qualities.”–Ibn Gabirol (1021-c. 1058) ‘Choice of Pearls’.

But if you want to give him want he wants–then sure–go. ahead.

Cause a fuss so you can go back to your easily lives so when people ask about the inactivity of the ummah you can shrug your shoulders and say you did your part. Instead of utilizing the the greatest potential of the ummah and the greatest weapon: the mind. Publish, paint, write–not in attacking him but supporting the people that support Islam.

Give THEM publicity.

Also, you know what? Our beloved ummah seems to be going through this craze post 9-11 with these “quick fixes”. Don’t mistaken me: lobby groups, press, etc is all good for the Ummah but where are our priorities? How long will that TV special last? How many people will see that speech? I tell you the investment is in our youth, who go out into the world and teach by example*. And show and demonstrate the Islamic religious and educational background they were raised with that reinforces their identity and character.

When Isabella and Ferdinand took over Muslim Spain and attempted to covert the Muslims, Muslim took everything. They pretended conversion . They attended mass. The Spanish custom of hanging pig outside of your door came from this period so the neighborhood and officials knew you ate pig . Muslims would even drink wine. And on Fridays doors to their houses would be open to prove they weren’t praying jummah. But still in secret they taught their children Islam.

However, do you know what brought the Muslims to exodus? It was when the inquisition started taking away children–away from their Muslim families and education.

It’s a long term solution but it’s worth it.

beace

Published by ilana under beace, game gmail gandalf, intention

talking about an event concerning the masjid

me:
yeah I was going to put a petition but then I talked to an inside and I diceded it would be wise to let things take it’s course

violent:
yeah you guys should just let it go
don’t try to push it
you won’t be able to change people’s minds

me:
OOOOOOOOOOOH girl bling bling
sean paul
eh?
when do you suggest standing for something then
do you ever protest anything?

violent:
you fight the battles that are worth fighting
when you know it’s something that will heal rather than bring more discord and divide

me:
You can’t please everyone. And we shouldn’t try. Thats like saying only fight the popular fights–a lot of the good isn’t popular

violent:
uh that’s not what I’m saying at all
what I mean is; if you’re going to fight, make sure it really is going to achieve what you hope to achieve
and that you’re not just fighting for the hell of fighting
out of anger
or bitterness
though it may sound like an oxymoron
you should only ever go to war
with peace in your heart

me:
Sometimes you feel peace in your heart because you believe in what your fighting for even if you know your lose
sometimes you simply need stand up for a cause
and show it’s not acceptable
or it’s wrong
or you don’t agree with it
discord make vibrant civil socities
we shouldn’t hinder from it
call it a oxymoron
but disunity and discord often gives birth to freedom

violent:
that may sometimes be true
but who’s to judge when discord will be fruitful and when it will only breed more fractures

me:
That’s based on the person they should have good intentions, sound knowledge and peace in thier heart so they may aquire wisdom. It’s a case by case thing as for fractures.. it’s life–it’s diversity and it’s beauty. We’re not all the same and it’s a sign from Allah.
And let it be a sign
embrace it
and do not let it weaken you
but derieve strenght from it
nor should we try to suppress it
we might not agree
but we can at least respect it
and that’s a higher form of human and a7lack

violent:
ok but
still
that doesn’t mean
fighting for your cause will always attain victory
if you can foresee that, in fact
fighting will only lead to more disunity
than it’s your duty to restrain yourself
and save your energy for the fights that really matter

me:
read my previous post–I think I had clarified that. And with help from an insider I had sound knowledge and therefore reframed.

me:
CHAY MAN–I gotta jet–a friend came over and said I was her “spiritual guide” and I am gonna take her out for coffee–I think something is up
salaam

violent:
lol ok
guide her well

(11:00:41 PM):and then we look back and laugh about how stressed we were
Laddoo
(11:02:00 PM): i dont intend on looking back for a while
me
(11:05:43 PM):well, that kinda hinders self-reflection eh?
Laddoo
(11:05:51 PM):lol
Laddoo
(11:05:54 PM):nahee yaar
Laddoo
(11:05:57 PM):i set ilestones
Laddoo
(11:05:59 PM):milestones
Laddoo
(11:06:11 PM):and say … no stopping, no looking back until you hit that target
me
(11:07:47 PM):Machiavelli would agree with you on that, carry on with something becuase if you do a half done job you do more damage
Laddoo
(11:08:28 PM):well true
Laddoo
(11:08:32 PM):but with us its like this
Laddoo
(11:08:50 PM):we can no longer say “the sky is the limit” because …… there are already footsteps on the moon
Laddoo
(11:09:05 PM):so we gotta belt this baby like, way outta the stratosphere, way past the moon
Laddoo
(11:09:10 PM):like, we’re just going all out
Laddoo
(11:09:29 PM):we set targets that might seem ridiculously unachievable, to others
Laddoo
(11:09:36 PM):but because we set the bar so high
Laddoo
(11:09:41 PM):whatever we DO get to eventually
Laddoo
(11:09:49 PM):whether below that target, at that target, or above
Laddoo
(11:09:55 PM):in any three of those eventualities
Laddoo
(11:10:04 PM):we will still be miles ahead of what anyone thought we could do
me
(11:11:47 PM):you mean with the modern world?
Laddoo
(11:14:48 PM):yup
me
(11:17:04 PM):people who think there is only valor and honor in the past are narrow minded fools exposed only to thier arrengline and fanstasies
me
(11:17:44 PM):but it makes nice for movies : youtube.com/watch?v=obJOCzZoVEw&feature=related
Laddoo
(11:18:56 PM):yeah i hate looking to the past
Laddoo
(11:19:13 PM):like i dont wanna be “oh we Muslims were like THIS, and like THAT… we WERE kings”
Laddoo
(11:19:14 PM):etc etc etc
Laddoo
(11:19:17 PM):like, screw that
Laddoo
(11:19:20 PM):it wasnt US
Laddoo
(11:19:23 PM):it was those Muslims
Laddoo
(11:19:25 PM):who had spine
Laddoo
(11:19:30 PM):and fervor
Laddoo
(11:19:31 PM):and passion
Laddoo
(11:19:32 PM):and deen
Laddoo
(11:19:34 PM):and eeman
Laddoo
(11:19:38 PM):and THEY got to where they did
Laddoo
(11:19:41 PM):we have no part of it
me
(11:21:56 PM):I think the problem is that Muslims often lose thier creativity and “intelect” about it, cultural, and blindly follow what thier fathers did. They look to the past, to shape thier future, take pride in it too–and it’s often outdated
Laddoo
(11:22:40 PM):yeah
Laddoo
(11:22:49 PM):like whatever happened to progress and good innovation
me
(11:25:04 PM):romanticism took over
me
(11:25:28 PM):a lot of young Muslim men have this problem
Laddoo
(11:26:51 PM):yeah its sad
